WOuld recommand everyone to ask a question to the seller before ordering the book just to make sure that the book YOU need is the one Seller is selling! ! As I read through the chapters, they really interest me, and remind me of little things that I have always tend to forget. There are no big theories in the book, just simple "life little reminders". When I purchased this book, it also comes with a workbook, which contains review and practice tests to help you to reinforce the ideas. The book helps me to correct some of my daily bad habbits. And even the class is over now, I still read the book sometime to learn more. Thank you. 5 stars (An Excellent Guide to Introductory French) - This book was used in my French 101 and 102 classes: Introductory French 1 and 2. I really liked it. Although its strength is grammar and vocabulary, it also teaches some French cultures in every chapter. You can learn listening with audio-CDs. But learning speaking is very hard if you self-study (based on my experience). I utilized the workbook and audio-tapes fully. They were very helpful tools to learn. A great collegiate introductory French book! 2 stars (Frustrating.) - Ditto "ashamed" previous. The workbook is difficult to use, and filled with errors. The tapes are frustrating and uneven, switching from too-difficult narratives to too-easy exercises. I've been through 18 chapters and 9 tapes, and can't speak. The textbook itself is better than the workbook and tapes. It is heavy on grammar and verb conjugation. ... 5 stars (Excellent resource) - McNeal continues the dialogue started by Leonard Sweet. McNeal however does it in a much more practical and accessible way. Recommend highly to anyone seeking to do church for the culture we are just now beginning to realize. 5 stars (Risky, but worth it) - Reggie McNeal offers a powerful alternative to the present-day church culture's Phariseeical worldview. Rather than trying to build the perfect church, as many churches do these days, McNeal advocates working to build the Kingdom of God by reaching people where they live/work/think. For people who are tied to the church culture as the way to reach God, this book will inspire resistance. But Jesus did not say, "The Church is the way, the truth, and the life", He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." 5 stars (Thumbs Up for Access to Health) - I just completed a health class and this was the textbook we used. I learned so much from using this book. This book is precise and to the point. It provides you with colorful pictures, charts, and definitions that's superb. It provides great information on Weight Management, Cancer, Heart Disease, Illicit Drugs, and Alchohol. No health class should go with out this book. This is defintely a great teaching tool for those that are taking a health class, or simply a great reference guide. I give this book five stars. 5 stars (Excellent!) - The 1999 Edition of Access to Health by Donatelle and Davis is excellent! User friendly writing style, colors, charts, references, and a comprehensive collection of chapters that cover all the key personal health related topics. 5 stars (TURKISH WRESTLING) - This is a gorgeous book devoted to the ancient art of Turkish wrestling. The models are absolutely stunning. 5 stars (Amazing photographs, beaufiful book.) - Lawrence Grecco's photographs bridge the eroticism of the human figure with the exoticism of an ancient sport that is truly fascinating in every way. His compositional ability is exceptional; each of these images are powerful and almost every one of them can stand on their own quite well. The book itself is beautifully designed, almost antique looking with its cloth cover and adhered black and white photograph. This is THE BOOK on Turkish Wrestling . 5 stars (Wrestling as Art) - Lawrence Grecco's " Turkish Wrestling " appeals to me strongly as a wrestler, a psychotherapist and an amatuer photographer. Through beautiful pictures and descriptive text he makes a very foreign culture seem kindred. The univerals of sport, masculine struggle, comraderie and brotherhood leap from the page in moments and movements that seem at once very different from my experience as an American wrestler, and yet somehow very close to home. Through his talent as an artist he is able to bridge the cultural gap and connect me with the deeper meaning of what it means to be in a community of men who strive for perfection through the particular sport of wrestling. 2 stars (Centralized administration a must-have, but spotty support) - My 100-user organization had Symantec Client Security 1.0 for two years. Had various problems including: - infections with suspicious processes that caused obvious problems for users, yet Symantec reported no virus. - twice, LiveUpdate imported new firewall policies that stopped a business-critical Access/SQL Server application from working until new firewall policies were deployed. - the firewall recently started acting erratically and had to be uninstalled from many workstations. - the products causes a very noticeable performance hit, really bad during scheduled scans. Since there was no more support for our 1.0 version, I convinced the CFO to buy version 3.0. The server migration failed without explanation and wiped out our 1.0 server configuration. For one day I tried reinstalling eight times on two different servers, following various procedures and troubleshooting steps. The online technical forum is not well supported - it looks like 5% of questions placed in the last month got any answers. It took another day after I registered for support to finally get a phone number to call. Then two hours on the phone and multiple downloads of components and tools still yielded no clues why the installation failed. Finally after a complete rebuild of the server, I discovered that changing a Group Policy setting (enable end users to select trusted publishers) fixed the problem. Now that it's installed, the product looks good. Remote client installation is very smooth, but given our history, I'll reserve final judgement for a few months. 4 stars (Great for Networks) - This is a must have for offices with small to medium size networks. There is a bit of work that goes into setting this up, but once you have it done, it works really well. The centralized managment of this product makes it all worth while. If you haven't worked with Symantec products before, you will definately need to take the tim...
